Hurricane Preparedness Drawings
Go Away Storm! By Shane Berry, age 8.
“Before a storm my family prepares our house, boat and vehicles. In my picture you will see my boat turned upside down with straps that are bolted into the ground. We secure our house with shutters and sand bags. We also pick fruits from our trees and share them with our neighbors.”
By Dominique, age 9
“To prepare for a hurricane my family cuts down trees, buy sand or rice bags and close the shutters.”
By Milan, age 11
“In a hurricane we take all of the light tables and chairs inside so they don’t blow away. We also board up the doors and trim the big trees.”
